Individual Counselling

Living this life can feel overwhelming. Even if you've got it all mostly together, you can still feel lost, disconnected, or unsure of your path. Jumping into counselling sessions means that you are giving yourself dedicated space and time for self-discovery and personal growth. It's a place where you can reconnect with yourself and find your way forward. If you've found yourself here, I'm guessing you're ready, and that in itself is something to be proud of.

Why do this?

At its heart, counselling is about being deeply heard, deeply understood, fully seen and fully accepted. The simple act of expressing your innermost thoughts and anxieties in a safe, non-judgmental setting – a space held just for you – can be profoundly validating and empowering. This process of self-expression is actually what self-care is really about.

What are we going to do? And should I be afraid?

If you are ready to go deep and to truly make some changes, then jump in. These sessions are for people who want true change and not just a place to moan and rant session after session. In each session, we will start where you're feeling the most stuck and go from there. This means that we will actively explore any dodgy patterns in your life (we all have them, trust me) and start to get a handle on what really happened 'back then' and how it is affecting you today. We all develop unconscious strategies that help us deal with our reality, but these are often rickety and not in sync with or useful to our current self and life. And so, one of our main missions is to equip you with some truly helpful coping strategies.

This is a collaborative process which involves setting achievable goals and taking small steps. Through this, you will start to cultivate your inner voice, so that you can actually hear and understand what it has to say. The end goal? (It's a bit lame, but hear me out…) is about finding your authenticity and living your life from that place. I believe that knowing and being ourselves is what makes life feel joyful and if you're feeling like that is lacking, I'd like to help you get there.

How does it work?

The journey of individual counselling is unique to each person. Together, you and I will work to determine the focus of our time together as well as how long you want to keep coming to sessions. Your feedback is always welcome, in fact it's essential, as I need to know where you're at, each step of the way. Let's be honest, it's going to feel a bit crap at times, so be prepared for that. But, really, you are the ultimate expert in your own life, you've got this wisdom within, we're just unlocking it together. By booking yourself a session, you're being intentional about taking the time to slow down and connect with your inner world and what you need to heal, find contentment or take the next step.
